Dr Rawa’s passion for serving on the Board of Directors of the International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals (IATP) stems from a deep commitment to improving patient care and advancing collaboration across disciplines. As a clinician, he has seen firsthand the profound impact that tongue ties and oral restrictions can have on feeding, speech, airway development, and overall quality of life. Too often families struggle to find answers and professionals work in silos rather than in collaboration.
By joining the Board, he wanted to help shape the future of the profession-creating a space where research, education, and clinical experience come together for the benefit of patients worldwide. His goal is to contribute to building stronger networks among providers, promote evidence-based care, and advocate for the recognition of tongue tie treatment as an essential part of health and wellness. Serving on the Board allows him to be part of a global community that values knowledge -sharing, integrity, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
