Cait Wilson, RN, IBCLC

TREASURER

Cait Wilson, BSN, RN, IBCLC, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Beginning her nursing journey as a Pediatric Neurology Nurse in 2011, she later transitioned to Labor and Delivery in 2014. After the birth of her first child, she pursued further education in lactation, earning her IBCLC certification in 2018. Her own experience navigating breastfeeding challenges due to an undiagnosed ankyloglossia (tongue-tie) with her first child in 2015 fueled her passion for supporting parents on a deeper level. That journey inspired her commitment to helping families find their voice, advocate for their needs, and feel empowered in their feeding decisions. Since 2020, Cait has focused her career on lactation care, supporting families in both the hospital and her private practice. She is passionate about maternal mental health and believes in caring for the whole family, recognizing that feeding support and emotional well-being are deeply connected. In addition to her clinical work, Cait owns a private lactation practice offering home visits, office visits, and telehealth consultations. Her practice allows her to provide individualized, evidence-based support tailored to each family’s unique needs and goals, ensuring parents have the time, guidance, and encouragement they need throughout their feeding journey.
